Was able to replace gas tank that had a hole in it. It worked really great!

My old John Deere tank cracked in a number of places, brittle plastic just gave it up. This design is the only shape available. It is thinner than the original tank, so it does not brace itself up against the fender/body of the mower, so it bounces around loosely. Some people zip tie them to the new brace that comes with it. I chose to use styrofoam blocks above it to wedge it securely. It works fine so far. I can fill it full without it leaking, whereas the old original would only hold a partial tank before sloshing out the cracks. I’d give it a full 5 stars if it had something included to wedge it in place.

This was NOT a drop in replacement on the L111. Two points were of real concern. One, there is no way to secure the tank in place and the tank just rattles around. Second, and more important, is the fact that the forward section of the tank is two wide and binds between the height adjustment linkage on the left side and a unused bracket on the right side. I ended up using an angle grinder to cut the bracket off. There was NO possible way it was going to fit without doing so. I would not recommend this for the model I have.

Much smaller than original tank with a lowsey fit. I would recommend getting this from John Deere.

This tank is designed to fit too many tractors. In my John Deere L118 the fitment was terrible but it was quick, easy and inexpensive. If I was going to do it again I would buy the OEM John Deere tank.
