US patent 11938908 With this window regulator repair kit you will be able to permanently repair, fix and correct common problem with the window lift regulators on these fine vehicles: Mercedes Benz Sprinter (1995-2002) Dodge Sprinter 2500, 3500 (2002-2006) Freight liner Sprinter 2500, 3500 (2002-2006) You will be replacing damaged , broken or missing PLASTIC part ( slide block) of the window regulator with one that is made of a BRASS material. Brass material has excellent sliding properties. as a part of repair procedure you will not need to remove the entire window regulator from the door to do the repairs .The head of the mounting rivet that once held PLASTIC slide block attached to the arm has to be carefully removed by using suitable rotary tool. ( please put on some protective eye-wear .) Remove the rivet out of the arm once you ground the cap of the rivet ( short part of the rivet) – Now you can Install the specialty screw that we provided in to the hole of sliding block, install the sliding block into the slide at the bottom of the window glass, insert threaded part through the hole in the arm of the regulator and secure it with the nut. We provide locking type nut to keep the nut in place. Please try fitting the nut onto the bolt first , so that you understand the mechanisms function before assembling the kit . $60 for that little chunk of brass seems outrageous. But it works and will not break or split like the plastic or nylon ones. If you buy a cheap $20 plastic one it will be guaranteed to break within a year. So getting the metal one is called biting the bullet or better said, hold your nose and pay through your nose for something that will last.

It went on a 2005 Dodge Sprinter front window. Both have been replaced. The door driver’s side went out and one week later the other side. Both are functioning very well now and preforming like new. I had some work to do with a drimmel to have them set in, but not difficult at all. Well deserved five stars! I’m so glad someone got smart and replaced a plastic piece with metal.

Finally, someone invented a replacement for the junk that comes in these sprinters that constantly breaks. Indeed these are a little pricey for what you get, but there’s no other alternative. Just grin and bear it, pay the price and you’ll be happy.
