This is the original factory style 2 piece design Miata convertible top with deck seams and overlapping quarter panels. Includes pre-punched plastic retainers to ease installation and you do not need to unzip the window to lower the top. Fits all 1990 through 2005 Miata / MX5 convertibles including older model Miata’s that original came with a plastic window. Connecting the defroster glass in these models is not recommended unless you purchase the 3-Wire Connector Part Number N007-67-060A from. However, you can still enjoy the glass window without the defroster. DIY Install Guide available by email upon request.

Giving a 4 out of 5 for saying that I could get instructions in the item description. Then when I ask for them they tell me they don’t have any for the zippered version. I was able to figure it out but have many things I would have done differently or in a different order if I knew before hand.Now as far as the top itself. It seems to be a very well constructed and high quality top. I have no complaints about how it looks or preforms. Only thing I would change is them giving slightly longer fabric rivets to attach the rain rail with as the sections that have 2 layers of cloth are difficult to get the rivets to grab and work. Other than that and lack of instructions it is a great top so far.

Top really is high quality. That being said the installation is a beast. It helps if your wife is tiny and can climb into the package tray. Zero complaints about the top other than I wish it came with instructions. YouTube is your best friend when it comes to tackling this!

I had a professional instal this on a 1993 Mazda Miata. He was annoyed that it did not fit and did not come with all he parts. He had to order an additional kit. The top doesn’t fold down as it fits too tight to go up again. It was just installed so I don’t know about durability

Before I bought this, I read the reviews. All of them said if you order the rain channel with the top it will come pre assembled. Mine did not. Getting that rain channel on was by far the most difficult part of the install, so be ready for that. There are no instructions, as it says in the description, so YouTube is your go-to for tips and tricks for installation. Take your time and go slowly. Assume this will take at least two days if you do it yourself. Alternately you can let a shop do it and save yourself the trouble. I will NOT ever install another one, lol. I’m taking it to a shop and will gladly pay them to do it.After the installation is complete, you will need to leave the top out in the sun so that you will be able to close the top. This will take some hours, so be sure your weather is cooperating.
