Bought this adapter because the one that came with the device did not work. I was told by the seller to purchase this because the unit was defective and they did not want to replace it. I can say that the adapter did work because it confirmed the fact that the device itself was broken. I would recommend using the adapter if you need to replace one.

I tried this item yesterday with my DBPower DJS50. As soon as it’s plugged in there is a continuous high-pitched tone. Tried various times, same outcome. It was not connected to a battery and the clamps were not shorted at any time. This does not work.Worst part is I am not able to return this. No option for return on A****n.Not recommended.

Combo offer, about half-price, another set of those clamps that did come packed with that red-inlay side, blue glowing side-screen starter box, called “Peak 1600A”. I expect someday twisting and re-rolling the clamps will fray the stranded Copper, so I’ll have this next “twin” at hand, to keep using the starter.

I called DB Power and was told to buy this clamp for my jump starter. It was completely inoperable—adter I plugged it in, there was just this never-ending beeping noise. Not sure why, the jump starter was fully charged and it was connected right. Had to return immediately
