This tank has the bucket style sump/baffle that is necessary for an electric pump in the tank, only the Spectra Premium GM307C has this. It does not look as good as the original plastic bucket for control of the fuel splash, but other racers have said that it works great in even 11 second cars. Mine did not include the lock ring or gasket, but my sending unit did so not a big deal. It also is nice that it comes with the neck installed, although some thought should be put into the packaging to better protect it. There is no better tank than the Canadian Spectra Premium, it is what GM used from the factory in the G body and many other cars.

Nice tank, correct baffles for turbo Buicks. The angle of the filler neck is off. It hits license plate door. I needed to tweek the neck to fit properly.

Did not fit very well on my 1986 Buick Grand National. The tank looked identical sitting side by side with the original but after I installed it the license plate frame would not bolt up. The filler neck on the new tank was about 3″ longer than the original filler neck. So I had to take the tank off again, cut both filler necks off of both tanks and use the old neck on the new tank. After some trial and error I was able to make it work —but it was not much fun to do!!!

Used this for my 82 Cutlass Supreme, and it fit perfect. This is a baffled tank for the later fuel injected G-bodies, but I used the old style sending unit in it since I’m still carbureted. Eventually when I switch to Fuel injection, I can just swap the sending unit for the newer style that holds the in tank pump, and I’ve already got the correct baffled tank.
