The bands are two-piece velcro straps, not elastic bands. This might not be a bad thing, because elastic bands lose their elasticity over time. The velcro straps make it harder to install, but you can pull them together tightly.The back of it sits on top of the armrest; it doesn’t wrap around like it does in front, which is why there’s a slight ripple.These things never look perfect – there’s always a slight ripple somewhere – but this one fits pretty tightly and will preserve the armrest for years, so I like it a lot.
