Buyer beware!!! Extension dimensions are misleading. The actual fabric is “10 inches” shorter then then the description/part number. Unfortunately the only way to get the 15′ version that I need is on the manufacturers website it seems. This will have to be returned unfortunately.

Awning is great but corners where poles attach need more reinforcement.

The overall quality is OK except for the pole latches. They do not latch tight enough and will not stay extended. This is obviously a problem which I solved by placing hose clamps above the latch to keep the top part from sliding down but for the price I paid I must say I am disappointed. I am not sure I would buy it again.

I love the idea and works great for the extra shade and shelter from rain. The canvas and zipper seem to be pretty strong but the poles are to flimsy or they should have put 3 poles on the larger shades. One of the poles bent and broke on the third camp trip with it… the breeze at the beach wasn’t to strong, a breeze I would leave the awning out for, but apparently to much for the cheep thin aluminum poles. My plan is to use fiberglass painters poles as replacement. For what you get the price seems to be a little to much. Over all I fairly happy with it, but would be happier if 1. If the poles were made a little stronger or had three poles for support in the middle. 2. The cost was a little more in line with what it cost of manufacturing.

While you don’t see this offered in many places, I stumbled across it while scanning this site for sun screens. All RVers are aware that oft times, our awnings do not offer adequate coverage at various times of the day. This extension is PERFECT. It easily slid into the extra notching of our 20′ awning, and with this extension kit, not only was our TT covered but so was our afternoon outdoor living area.We also had some significant gusts. This extension is a solid piece that the air DOES NOT flow through it (it IS water resistant) so could have been a problem in the wind. Instead of full extension (i.e., level with our awning), we set it up so that it was placed somewhat like a sunscreen but with a 4.5 – 5.0 foot off the ground where it was secured with the included poles and secured lines. This allowed the breeze to filter through into our living area without resistance. Ahhhhh! As an assist, I strongly suggest that,#1) You secure each end of your awing regardless of length EVERY TIME you extend it regardless of any add-ons. We use a simple string-line, from the extended awning corner to the ground, that DOES NOT UTILIZE the second notch on your awning which allows the attachment of this extension set or a sunscreen, (DO NOT waste your money on the fancy-dancy stuff which you will be returning), and#2) As a safety feature for all, we run the simple string line through a cone (top to bottom), and then secure the line to the ground with a stake, now covered by the cone, so that no one accidentally runs into the line.Even in a significant gust, our awning with this extension just slightly rippled (as if in a gentle breeze), causing ZERO anxiety at all for us as other campers were pulling their awnings in, and/or chasing down their pop-ups. I KNOW it had as much to do with how we angled this extension which did not fight with the wind. Many nearby campers were stopping by to take a look at our set up so I expect a run on these as a result.Happy camping!!!
