So technically I guess you could use this for multiple things. You could connect it to your pump and use it to switch between tank and winterization, hook it up after your pump and use it to switch from city to the pump and tank, or use it to set up a bypass on your hot water tank*. I place the asterisk there because technically with the way mine is hooked up I had to re-configure the plumbing to work with one three way valve. I just needed to place a one way check valve on the output of the hot water tank. I sanded off the screen printed instructions on the face and used a label printer to make my own labels so I know which is hot water on/off. Aside from that bit of inconvenience having to do some of my own DIY its a good product that got the job done. Was able to take valves that were hidden behind a panel and clean it up so now the one valve I need is always exposed and easily adjustable.

My fault for not looking closely at what I needed. This valve is made for selecting a supply of water from a tank or an outside water source for one of the bigger RV’s. It’s advertised however as also good for bypassing the RV water heater. Not so fast. Nearly 100% of water heater hookups on average size RV trailers are all pex connections. This has one pex connection and a couple threaded ports. So now I need to go purchase some adapters to plumb it in. Next you will need an additional shutoff valve to put in somewhere because you just can’t bypass the cold water inlet to the heater and route it to the hot water outlet line. It will just back flow into the water heater on the outlet side. Again my fault for not thinking this through but they advertise this as a device to bypass the water heater also. It’s really not designed for that and is really expensive for that application given what you would need to do to make it work. Just be careful what you are trying to do with this before you purchase. Otherwise it’s quality made from what I can see.

I needed to remove the fittings to adapt to my RV but the fittings included where glued in and adding another adapter was difficult.

This is so handly when you have to sanitize your RV or camper. You shouldn’t get any of the bleach compound into your hot water heater. Using this device, it makes the whole process easy.Very easy to install and to operate.I have needed one of these for years.

Easy to install, good value for the money, and it seems to be the same quality as the original.

Easy install, wear gloves if you reach behind the unit, the screws are sharp and unforgiving.

I purchased this diverter valve 2 times. Both items leaked immediately on activation. The leak is caused by assembly damage on the body of the primary valve fitting. I’m very disappointed at the quality of this product. Amazon customer service was great. Refunds were issued and they had me order the valve from a different account. The price is more but, hopefully, the product will not leak. Amazon should stop sponsoring the company selling the defective item.
