I liked that the fluid included is Liquid Moly and why I chose to give this kit a shot. However, I am a little skeptical about using this fluid in my Ram ZF 8 speed transmission as the bottle say for DEX VI and Mercon LV. It also doesn’t speak about the ZF transmission or mention meeting any Chrysler or Mercedes specifications. The fluid in this bottle is an engine oil brown color and the color fluid in my transmission is green. DEX VI and Mercon LV are red fluids so not sure how this will mix and will it make the fluid look like it needs to be changed. I will just go with the original fluid instead.

Excellent fluid for the zf, only fuss i have is the pan is a bit shallower then what my truck had originally (ram 1500 5.7 4×4) probably by .5 quart capacity, Nevertheless the new pan bolted on with no problems, looks to be of good quality too.Used up a little over 5 qts on my application.

Arrived extremely well packed. I am quite familiar with the fluid service procedure for the ZF 8-speed transmission. Follow the factory instructions and you’ll be fine. Just keep in mind that you really should jack the vehicle up and put it on four jack stands so the wheels can spin as you follow the procedure. The filter pan assembly fit my Grand Cherokee perfectly and I actually used a pressurized refill tool to fill up the case. Note that the liter fluid containers actually have a built in fill hose – it is actually genius.
