This product isn’t what is advertised for a Model Y. I have a 2023 Model Y. This plate comes up two inches short. A huge gap. AND comes in two pieces not one. Terrible.

Tesla plastic shield is better in my opinion : won’t rust, much higher impact resistance and a lot more flexibility. I bought this one because I was two hours away for the nearestTeslaDealer and no appointment available for three weeks.The Tesla OEM shield did not fail. Instead one of the two main nits holding it in place was. Or torqued properly at the factory and fell off causing the wind to grab the shield pushing down towards the road The contact with the road damaged the shield. Text book manufacturer defect. But we are talking Tesla here. I knew better not trying to get it resolved thru customer service. And the 100 dollars was well worth it for me instead to dealing with this for the next few weeks and having to leave my car at the dealer two hours from the house, knowing they won’t honor their warranty or provide and loanerThis shield solved my problemOn one hours the next day (delivery) it looked great and was easy to installIt did arrive with multiple bent corners like you see in pictures from other reviewers, but I had no problem.bending back.

The original front engine protector finally broke off so ordered this one for a 2018 Tesla model 3 and even though it comes in 2 pieces, it was a perfect fit and solid. The original broke off because there was a screw in the front passenger corner of the plate, that had scrapped off and managed to break off the bolt that was welded on the sway bar bracket that the skid plate screw goes into. A $1.35 U-clip with nut attached from Ace did the trick to replace the missing nut on the sway bar bracket. Just had to make sure it was the right size for the screw.

It’s a great replacement part and after installation I haven’t had any issues with it at all. Like many of the reviews here this item came slightly bent and was actually not installable until I bent it back into place. Not a big deal but annoying.

Perfect fit, simple to install. Solid metal, should provide better protection. But can’t figure out why they would create an “oil change” spot. This just increases the wind drag and has no functional use as the Tesla manual states the drive train oil is lifetime. So it takes a star loss for this dumb design.
