I bought the Besttop bikini top and needed this rail to attach it to the windshield. Nice heavy metal two peice kit and appears that when i install my hardtop back on I wll not have to remove it. Exactly as described and works perfectly with the Top.The outside edges are slightly bent to wrap down the corner of the windshield. I drilled and anchored it there before drilling the rest of the 1/8″ holes so it lined up on the ends perfectly.(It has oblong holes in it so you can adjust 1/4″ either way to make the middle line up. I also placed a small amount of silicon chaulk in each hole to prevent leaks and the dreaded windshield rot that occurs to jeep windsheilds.

It’s a 2-piece channel and It does fit my ‘86 CJ7 but I had to cut about 1/4” off In order to get the curved outer pieces to match the windshield. The provided screws weren’t big enough to fit the existing holes in my windshield frame but that’s not the fault of the channel. Bottom line, it fit my vehicle, with some alteration and it does the job intended.
