- 2. Engine start stop A-OFF function disable, No module and energy storage device inside, no error code after install.
- 3. Remove side cover and pop out top panel by steering wheel and pull outward (3 clips) leaving just enough room to pop out switch and wire disabler. After insall this item, the car has to be off for more than 20 seconds if you press the button. So basically install it and don’t touch the button, its already off.
- 4. After install, the A-OFF button will light up, the engine start/stop function will be disable
- 5. It has memory function, every time when you turn on your car, the engine start/stop a-off function will always be disabled, but after turn off your highlander pls wait at least 20 seconds to re-start your car(otherwise this eliminator won’t work).

I installed this pigtail using another YouTube video to take apart the lower dash. On my model of Highlander you can’t go through the cup holder. Once installed I turned on the car and the light was on indicating the auto-off function was already off. I pressed the button and it turned on with the light going off. I then turned off the car and back on and the light was off. After speaking with the company, the car has to be off for more than 20 seconds if you press the button. So basically install it and don’t touch the button, its already off. I am posting this so that others don’t get confused and try to send the item back. The harness does work and that’s one less button to press when turning on the vehicle.I give this item 4 stars due to having to find a video for the dash and the instructions are not in English. Not that you would need them but at least a warning about pressing the button and appearing not to work with quick re-starts. I give the company 5 stars for a quick response and willing to replace or refund the product had it not worked.

Simple as a pimple. Pop out the button, connect the harness, then put it back. Don’t touch anything. When you start your vehicle, this product automatically turns off the stop-n-start function. You’ll noticed it when the light on your dash is illuminated. If you try to press the button, it will turn ON the auto stop-n-start. Just press it again and turn off your engine. After 1 minute of the car being off, the harness will reset back to turning off the stop-n-start option automatically. If you turn the car off and on within the minute, the product will not reset and you have to press the button manually to turn off the stop-n-start function and think that this product doesn’t work. It does work! Connect the product and don’t touch!

I installed this on my 2018 Highlander XLE. It literally took under 3 mins. to install. I absolutely hate that auto start / stop feature. I would always forget to hit that stupid button every time I got in the car, then get pissed when my car shut off at the end of the street. This disables it automatically, and it’s under $30! Best money I’ve spent in a long time.

This Auto Start Stop A-Off Delete/Disable/Eliminator for Toyota Highlander installed easily on my 2017 Highlander. It even decided to work properly! I tried a different type of eliminator, twice, that did absolutely nothing. I was pleased to see that this one works. It took me five minutes to install, but I had taken apart my dash panel multiple times already and knew the sequence. I will update this review if the part fails.

Works like it should. Took about 2 minutes to install. Took side panel off and pried button panel down just enough to use my hand to pop the push button out for the install. Put everything back. Hopefully it holds up over time. Tired of the unnecessary wear and tear on my wife’s Highlander.
